⚠️ A Wind Advisory is in effect from 3pm this afternoon thru 6am Thursday ⚠️

We're still on track for a pretty impactful wind event this afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service is still forecasting winds from southwest at 25-30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph possible. Recent computer models are consistent with the timing - winds starting to ramp up early afternoon, with the peak window between 5pm-10pm. The main difference since last night is a slight up-tick in expected speeds - around the Plateau, a few gusts in the 40 mph range are more likely, with higher gusts not completely out of the question.

It's worth noting: confidence is high in this event occurring and the expected impacts, compared to the Christmas Eve event, that fell apart at the last minute. This is a very different setup, with the area of low pressure scooting west to east, just north of us.

Back in a few hours with another update!
