Wednesday 4pm update: the Wind Advisory is now in effect until 6am tomorrow. I was running a few errands across the Highlands and the Plateau, and it's getting pretty stormy out there - especially with the wind blowing the rain sideways!

Showers will continue this afternoon and evening, but the steadier / heavier rain is shifting to our south. Winds will continue to pick up into the evening hours - the latest hourly computer guidance is showing the window for peak gusts beginning between 5-7pm, lasting thru 10 or 11pm. Still looking likely that the strongest gusts will be in the 40 mph range.

Since the winds are coming from the south/southwest, neighborhoods on the northern/northeastern sides of Cougar, Squawk, and Tiger Mountains may get a bit of "wind-sheltering", and may not see the stronger gusts! On the flip-side, areas in and downwind of the gaps between the mountains might see stronger gusts, due to the wind being funneled through.
