Friday 3pm update: The National Weather Service extended the Winter Weather Advisory until 11am tomorrow morning, mainly to highlight the hazardous driving conditions. Looking at area traffic cams, most of the main roads looks bare and wet - but it's still going to be a pretty nasty evening commute.
Looking at the radar - and outside the window! - the intensity of the precip seems to be letting up for the time being...air temps are right around 35ยบ, but that could tip the scale towards the snow melting faster than it's accumulating. Just stuck my head out the door, and I don't see any rain mixing in just yet - but I do hear lots of melt-off falling from the tree branches! Parts of my backyard are quickly turning to slush.
