For the first time in over two weeks, it actually rained! (I’m not counting that sneaky little popup shower that raced thru yesterday morning…I think I counted about a dozen raindrops - the sprinklers make my patio more wet than that!) Cool, showery conditions will continue thru the weekend.

Today (Thursday) was also roughly 20° cooler than yesterday, only reaching the upper-60s - and we’ll drop a few more degrees off the next few days, into the mid-60s. While the next few days will be wet, it won’t be a washout by any means - roughly a quarter-inch of rain total by Saturday night. Tomorrow (Friday) looks the wettest, with frequent showers and periods of steadier rain. There’s an outside chance of a lightning strike or two tomorrow as well, but conditions don’t look too favorable for thunderstorms. Showers will continue to roam around Saturday and Sunday, though some sun-breaks might poke through too!

We’ll stay on the cooler side to start next week, with shower chances sticking around. Even though I already miss the sun and warmth, I know my lawn and garden will appreciate the liquid sunshine!
